Professional Data Recovery Newcastle

A crashed drive or a phone that will not switch on does not always mean the data stored on it is gone. Our specialists attempt recovery from damaged storage devices under a no data, no fee arrangement, so nothing is owed if the attempt does not succeed.

Data emergency? A damaged device should not be turned on, charged, or used further. Doing so can overwrite the very data that needs recovering. Bring it to us directly, or call for advice before taking any further action.

What we recover

What We Recover

From a single photograph to an entire business database, if it sits on a storage medium, an attempt at recovery is usually worthwhile.

HDD & SSD Recovery

Internal drives from laptops and desktops are recovered in our workshop. Failed read heads and firmware faults account for many of the cases we see. The click of death, together with straightforward logical failures such as accidental formatting, accounts for most of the rest.

From £75

Phone & Tablet Recovery

Photos, contacts and messages are recovered from phones and tablets that will no longer switch on. Water damage, a cracked screen, or a fault that stops the device from booting are the most common reasons customers bring one in. iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and iPad devices are all supported.

From £89

External Drive Recovery

Western Digital, Seagate, Toshiba and LaCie drives are handled regularly. A drive that has been dropped often falls into this category, as does one no longer recognised by the computer. A clicking sound on power-up is another common sign of failure.

From £95

USB & Flash Recovery

USB drives and memory sticks are recovered even after a corrupted file system or physical damage. Accidental deletion is handled as well, and this often costs less than the figure above once the device has been inspected.

From £49

RAID Recovery

RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 arrays used in home NAS units and small business servers fall within this service. Each array is rebuilt according to its own configuration, so array failures and controller faults are assessed individually rather than treated the same way.

From £250

SD Card Recovery

SD cards from cameras and microSD cards from phones or action cameras are recovered in most cases. A formatted card and a card the device can no longer read are the two issues we see most often.

Our process

How It Works

The process is straightforward, without much room for surprises along the way.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic — £45

A no-obligation assessment starts the process. The fault is identified and a fixed price quoted before any work begins. Should the recovery go ahead, the diagnostic fee is waived.

  2. 02

    Clean Assessment

Mechanical failures are examined using clean-room grade procedures, and the evaluation itself does not place the data at further risk.

  3. 03

    Data Recovery

Specialist tools are used to bypass the fault and extract the files stored on the device. Photographs and documents are recovered first, and database or video files follow, wherever they remain intact.

  4. 04

    Secure Transfer

The recovered files are transferred onto a new drive, or a USB stick supplied by us. Nothing is charged until you have confirmed the transfer is complete.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How likely is it you can recover my data?

Success depends more on the type of fault than on the type of device. Logical faults, such as formatting or accidental deletion, are recovered in most cases. Physical faults, including water damage or a failed drive head, carry a lower though still reasonable success rate, and this is confirmed during diagnostics rather than promised beforehand.

What does “No data, no fee” mean?

It means what it says. A failed recovery attempt costs nothing beyond the diagnostic fee, and that fee itself is waived if you decide to go ahead with the recovery.

Can you recover from a water-damaged phone?

In many cases, yes, particularly if the phone was switched off soon after contact with the water. Corrosion develops over time, so a device brought in quickly stands a better chance than one left for several weeks.

How long does data recovery take?

Straightforward cases are usually finished within the same week. RAID arrays and severe physical damage can take longer, sometimes several weeks, due to the additional clean-room work involved.

Is my data kept confidential?

Yes. Files are handled only by the technician assigned to the case and are removed from our systems once the recovery has been confirmed complete by the customer.

Do Not Give Up on Your Data

Many cases other shops describe as unrecoverable are resolved here. Book an assessment and let a specialist examine the device directly.
